Registration
Hive inspection

As a new beekeeper you are required by law to register your hive, this data is used by Asure Quailiy for bio securities and by the national bee association ( NBA ) for stats and to help keep beekeepers informed with new beekeeping techniques.

Hive registration is quite simple but can be confusing for some.
The first thing you need to aquire is the registration number from the beekeeper  who supplied you bees ( if you caught a swarm or acquired a wild hive , just state so in the obtained area )
Next you need your NZMS 260 map series index, this can be found at http://koordinates.com/layer/413-nzms-260-map-series-index/
Now you're ready to register your hive online at http://afb.org.nz/performs/3

Or you can register your hive manually by contacting one of the following people
